this is an excellent post. sometimes i wish we could compartmentalize facebook: friends, associates, colleagues, clients... etc.
i sometimes find myself not posting something or watering something down on fear that what i say or post might alienate a certain group.
but watering oneself down sort of defeats the purpose of self-expression and the intent of using social networking sites to share who you really are with others.
life is full of contradictions, but that's what makes the experience all the more unique and interesting. and i don't think our true friends would ever want to deprive us of that... nor pass judgment on who they think we are or ought to be.
Oh, that I've written nearly 100 posts that haven't received the "publish" ok because of the multi-faceted readership dilemma! I am not "one" all the time because all the pieces of me that are me to them...make up the bigger me. Agghh...does that even make sense to anyone? lol ;) Great post!
