As wonderful as it is to finally be home, I've been thinking about this song while sorting out the laundry and wondering how to keep the kind of peace I find in these colors after the sand has been washed out, when the air is not as welcoming.
Every weekend should begin and end with salt water, warmth and moonglow.

When my son was younger, he once asked me why we didn't decorate our homes the way we do our vacation cabins, beach houses, etc. I think he sensed what you sense, that we should look for that kind of peace and harmony every day, not just when we're on vacation.
I agree with Donna (above)--Your photos definitely offer a sense of that peace and harmony.
These are all great for different reasons. I like the peaceful solitude of the chairs on the porch, the family fun implied by the sand castles, the warmth of the open market where they sell hats... I could go on. I think my fave, though, is Little Bear walking toward the beach, apparently by herself; obviously a little girl, but clearly growing up, too.
